Evolution of a Legend 

The name Spitfire pays tribute to the Polish RAF pilots who flew these iconic aircraft during the Battle of Britain. The Spitfire QR Plate Carrier is a modern continuation of that legacy – lightweight, modular, and built for dynamic operations. Still one of the lightest carriers in its class, it now features an integrated Quick Release system that allows rapid donning or doffing in critical situations.  

Ready for Rapid Response 

The carrier body is made from laser-cut laminate, Cordura® 500D, and softshell fabric, providing high abrasion and wear resistance. Spitfire QR can be configured from a minimalist setup to a heavy load-bearing platform with additional panels, cummerbunds, and chest rigs. 

The integrated Quick Release system, based on Duraflex® QRS buckles (shoulders and cummerbund), allows the operator to quickly release the plate carrier without undoing multiple components. This solution can streamline casualty evacuation, improve access to injuries, or allow rapid removal of equipment inside a vehicle.  

Compatibility and Full Control 

The carrier is compatible with Crye Precision AVS-style zip-on back panels and Mayflower/Velocity chest rigs. It can be worn in a wraparound configuration or with only the front plate bag. Front flaps can be mounted directly or attached using buckles. 

The design includes routing options for communication cables and hydration tubes through both the plate pockets and the cummerbund. Radio wings and additional armor options are also available.
