SOF® Tactical Tourniquet Wide which has a new clamping lever holding system. This new system is called TRAC and helps during application, providing a temporary control point so that it holds the clamping lever until the locking triangle is placed, resulting in faster application times and doubling the safety of the device.

This is especially useful in one-handed applications and those who do not have much experience in the application of tourniquet straps (tourniquet). The TRAC is an optional accessory for the application and the rotary lever must be secured to the triangle for proper use.

The new SOF-TT also brings a new technology to the New Quick Compression Technology Buckle.

Designed with user field reports in mind, the new buckle improves the tourniquet's operation and overall installation and release time, while maintaining its comparatively superior reliability.

Finally, increasing the length of the rotating lever increases the torsion lever and facilitates its locking process within the TRAC retaining system and the locking triangle, increasing the efficiency of this dual retaining system. It still retains its distinct conical edges, while being made of a one-piece aircraft-type aluminum alloy and is anodized to minimize device failure in a regular environment.

The SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide (SOF®TT-W) emerged after extensive studies, research and testing in realistic and laboratory conditions lasting a total of 24 months. High strength and light alloys were used in selected parts, ensuring the required reliability in the most difficult situations, while ensuring its applicability to the largest human extremities. All the required were achieved with a simultaneous reduction of the final weight by 25%.

The maximum durability locking hook and buckle was designed for greater safety, durability and ease of application. The design allowed the belt to be fastened quickly, with no room for entanglement and no need to go through a buckle. So it is very easy to use even under the worst conditions on the battlefield and under maximum stress. The application time was also drastically reduced. The end result is worth the effort as the minimum possible blood loss and better quality medical care of the injured is achieved.

The SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide has a strap width of close to 4 cm, offering the widest pressure compared to other tourniquets or tourniquets with a 2.5 cm strap inside a 4 cm "sleeve". This wide ischemic strap allowed greater comfort in feeling injured and additional pressure on the arteries.

The clamping handle is made of one-piece high-strength aluminum alloy. The durability of this important component eliminates the risk of manufacturing failure or damage during use. It is anodized reducing the trace to a minimum, as required in tactical environments.

Each tourniquet is accompanied by two UV-resistant retaining straps in the user's personal equipment.
