The combined function (icw) hard armor plate “Iridium® HP.3.1003” is manufactured from compressed ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), the strongest material for protection against non armor piercing calibers to provide maximum protection to level III+ of the NIJ 0101.06 standard.

The “Iridium® HP.3.1003” combined function (icw) hard armor plate has been laboratory tested under the extremely difficult and demanding conditions of the NIJ 0101.06 standard, and found to provide protection against multiple shots (minimum 6 shots) of 7.62x51mm M80 NATO calibers BALL, 7.62x54R LPS (DRAGUNOV), 7.62x39mm Mild Steel Core (AK47 KALASHNIKOV) and 5.56x45mm M193, combined with the soft panel of protection level IIIA “Rhodium® SP.3A.303”, with the minimum weight of 1.4 kg .

The V50 endurance limit of “Iridium® HP.3.1003” according to its certification, in the caliber 7.62x51mm M80 NATO BALL, is at least 995 m/s, without perforation, being the safest choice in its class (level III+, NIJ0101 .06).

The combined function (icw) hard armor plate “Iridium® HP.3.1003” is available with the upper corners trimmed so as not to obstruct the user in the firing position.
